Questions and Answers

What is the process once I email you to enquire to purchase a painting through your website?

An email screen will pop up. Please add the artwork name and send the email. I will get back to you promptly to confirm its availability and provide you with payment instructions.

If two emails come through for the same painting, the first email received will be awarded the sale.

What payment methods do you receive?

Cash, direct electronic transfers, and credit card payments. (Credit card payments are accepted through PayPal, with a 4.4% surcharge and if international currency conversion costs .)

When will I receive my painting?

I will do my utmost to get it to you as soon as possible and will keep you updated on its progress.

Once your payment has been received and cleared (or at least 30% thereof), the painting will be shipped. Generally, worldwide courier delivery takes between 7-14 working days.

Please note that sometimes a painting may need to be stretched prior to shipping, so allow extra time to receive your painting. This will always be specified.

If I pay a painting off when do I receive it?

You will receive your painting after paying 30% of the full price. Payment can be made in an initial deposit or over a set period.

Over how many months can I pay it off or on what payment plan?

As everyone’s situation is different, we can discuss and arrange a plan that suits you.

Is shipping included?

No, unless otherwise stated. Shipping costs vary depending on the destination. Please inquire with me directly.

Will these paintings be available until they sell?

Not always. I work with a wonderful group of galleries who represent me and my work, and they have collectors waiting for new pieces. I also need to plan for upcoming fairs and shows, so a painting you like might appear in another pre-release. I need to ensure I have enough work planned for these events.

What happens if I’m not happy with my painting?

Seeing a painting in person is always better than on a screen. Sometimes colors may appear slightly different, so I have a no-questions-asked return policy. You will need to return the painting in the same condition as you received it, and I will refund 100% of the purchase price minus shipping and any other fees incurred (such as commissions on payments taken by a third party).

How do I hang the painting on the wall?

All canvas works are stretched on a Professional Canvas Frame and come with a cord attached to the back for easy hanging.

Works on paper need to be framed. They are painted on heavyweight, acid-free paper. Some works on paper may have a deckled edge, indicating that the paper is handmade.

If you would like more details on ensuring your painting is hung at the correct height or sized correctly for your wall, please email me.

If I miss this release or a painting that I love is sold can you paint me another?

Yes, I can, but it is very difficult to replicate a painting exactly. Each painting has its own spontaneity and energy, giving it a unique feel.

How much does a canvas painting weigh?

Canvas works generally weigh between 3-6 kg, depending on size.

How should I have my painting on paper framed?

I can send you examples or offer suggestions, but the choice is entirely up to you based on the look you want to achieve.

How much is framing?

Framing can cost from $100 and up. It’s best to check with your local framer.

Are the sides of the canvas painted?

No, I leave the sides of the painting a clean white, which is referred to as a museum wrap. Let me know if you’d like the sides painted black or another solid color.

Some clients prefer to install their canvas paintings into floater frames, while others hang them directly on the wall.

Can you be commissioned to paint me something similar, or in a different size?

Yes, I love working on commissions and involving you in the process. Creating a piece that fits perfectly in your space and complements your existing decor is extremely rewarding for both of us.
